PRE-PEELING 5% MANDELIC ACID
Mandelic or Amygdalic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid with 8 carbon atoms, derived from the hydrolysis of a bitter almond extract.
In several studies it has been tested in the treatment of the most common cases of skin blemishes such as photoaging, irregular pigmentation, acne.
More acidic than glycolic acid at a temperature of 25°C, Mandelic acid has proved to be an effective exfoliating peeling which acts by causing a slight burning and redness.
In particular, the principle is active in repair and reactivationof the skin. The causes are to be found in its depigmenting properties, such as to make it a product indicated in the treatment of non-cystic inflammatory acne.
It is also observed that, not being a photosensitizer, it lightens freckles more quickly than common alpha hydroxyacids.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Mandelic acid can be used throughout the year, regardless of the phototype of the patient, due to the absence of the risk of hyperpigmentation.
All this makes this pre-peeling containing 5% Mandelic acid, a specific product for removing impurities and uniforming the skin pH, in the preparatory phase for peeling.
