Carbon Gel is a black gel formulated with microscopic activated carbon particles, specifically designed for use in conjunction with an Nd:YAG laser for facial procedures.
An even layer is applied to a clean face; the gel penetrates the pores, adhering to dead skin cells, sebum, impurities, and bacteria.
After application—ideally using a silicone spatula—the gel is left to dry for 5–10 minutes so that it adheres properly to the skin and pores. The laser is then passed over the skin, gently “exploding” the carbon particles.
This thermal explosion removes the gel, along with the impurities, dead skin cells, and excess oil.
