VIT4216 - VITAPELLE- Kojic Acid is a depigmenting agent of fungal origin: it degrades melanin and exerts an antioxidant activity that, by neutralizing oxygen, prevents the reactions necessary for the conversion of tyrosinase into melanin. It can be used alone or with other depigmenting agents such as mandelic acid or exfoliating substances. It has a valid application in cases of keratosis or skin aging spots on the face, hands and forearms, which appear after a change in melanin. If melanin production occurs irregularly and not uniformly, light and dark areas (hyperpigmentary spots) can be created which, from an aesthetic point of view, are a real problem.
